About 2nds What is a factory 2nd?
All Nosler products are hand inspected prior to packaging. Every bullet and every piece of brass is searched for imperfections to ensure that every piece meets Nosler's quality standards. Products with physical imperfections are scrapped, while other products with cosmetic blemishes are labeled as "2nds".
  
Above are some examples of 2nds you may see. The Custom Competition illustrates some copper discoloration. The AccuBond is an example of a bullet manufactured for an ammunition company--occasionally they request a cannelure or band, over-runs or blemished product will be bagged as a second. The Ballistic Silvertip pictured has not been coated, it is an example of an over-run for Winchester Ammunition.
Factory 2nds shoot every bit as well as the firsts and can be up to half the price! Check back frequently as 2nds inventory is based solely on Nosler's bullet production and inspection schedules.
