The Nosler Solids are exactley that - Solid. Nosler engineers were challenged to design an unrivaled dangerous game bullet that would create the deepest wound channel possible, reliably feed in a bolt action rifle, and share the same point of impact as the Nosler Partition of equal caliber and weight. Needless to say, our engineers had their work cut out for them but in true Nosler fashion, they exceeded expectations. The first step was to mill Nosler Solids from a homogeneous billet of brass alloy in order to maximize strength, consistency, and concentricity. The bullet design starts with a large, flat-nose meplat to minimize deflection off of bone and muscle to punch an impressively long and straight wound channel, even on raking shots. The rebated front section of the bullet was designed to match the chamber pressure of the Nosler Partition of equal caliber and weight in order to achieve same point of impact for both bullets at typical hunting ranges and velocities. the precision cut band allows for tight crimping to ensure each bullet is properly seated and to prevent bullet setback during firing. Whether being used for initial shots on elephant or follow up shots on Cape buffalo, Nosler Solids will give you the bone crushing performance needed when your life is on the line.
